The prize was a one-of-a-kind printer’s proof of the Alinea cookbook, signed by Chef Grant Achatz.
Though The Alinea Book was published over a decade ago it continues to provide inspiration for many chefs and home cooks alike. These proofs were used to calibrate the printing quality for the First Edition of the James Beard and Communications Arts Award-winning Alinea book. Each 40.375 inch by 24.875 inch proof encompasses four Alinea book pages exactly as they would be printed for the book prior to binding. We've dry mounted the print, signed it, and it's ready for hanging.
